Section 02

MVP Scope Overview

Everything included in the initial build.

In Scope
Deliverable Status What It Covers
Design System ✓ Included Brand-aligned component library covering colors, typography, spacing, button states, and form inputs. All pages are built from this system to ensure visual consistency across the site.
Homepage ✓ Included Conversion-focused landing page with hero section, availability check CTA, plan highlights, and trust signals. Primary entry point designed to move visitors toward an address lookup or sign-up.
Availability Engine ✓ Included Real-time address lookup via the Gaia API. Handles API request/response, loading states, error conditions, and routes the user to one of 4 availability outcomes based on their address result.
Availability States (4) ✓ Included Four distinct post-lookup outcomes: (1) Service Available → proceed to sign up, (2) Coming Soon → capture lead with ETA, (3) Not Available → capture interest for future expansion, (4) Error / Invalid Address → retry prompt with guidance.
Pricing Page ✓ Included Displays active internet plans with speed tiers, pricing, and a Stripe checkout trigger. Plan data is driven by a static config file — no live pricing API. Plan additions require a config update and redeploy.
Stripe Integration ✓ Included Stripe Checkout (hosted) for initial sign-up payments. Covers payment flow, success redirect, and cancel redirect. Does not include subscription billing management, invoice history, or a Stripe customer portal — those are post-MVP.
HubSpot Integration ✓ Included Form submissions from availability capture pages and contact forms sync to HubSpot CRM via API. Lead data, source, and address context are passed. HubSpot email sequences, workflow configuration, and automation rules are managed separately inside HubSpot and are not part of this build.
Neighborhood Hub + 2 Pages ✓ Included A neighborhood hub listing all service areas, plus 2 individual neighborhood detail pages at launch. Each page shows coverage status (active / coming soon / in construction), service highlights, and an availability CTA. Additional neighborhood pages can be added post-launch under the monthly retainer.
Support Hub ✓ Included Support landing page with contact options, FAQ accordion, service status links, and outage messaging. Does not include a customer ticketing system, live chat widget, or authenticated support portal — those require separate tooling.
Legal Pages ✓ Included Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages styled and structured within the design system. Layout and formatting are delivered by BetaCraft; final legal copy is supplied and approved by Link Broadband prior to launch.
Thank You Pages ✓ Included Post-conversion confirmation pages for each key flow: post-sign-up, post-lead-capture, and post-contact-submit. Each page includes next-step messaging and relevant CTAs to reduce post-conversion drop-off.
Deployment ✓ Included Vercel production deployment with custom domain, SSL certificate, environment variable configuration, and basic uptime monitoring. Includes one round of pre-launch QA across modern desktop and mobile browsers.
Admin Panel (OCM) ◑ Astro Only Password-protected admin interface to toggle outage banners, update neighborhood construction status, and activate or deactivate promotional pricing — without code deploys or developer involvement. Not available in the WordPress option; WordPress users manage content directly through the CMS dashboard.
Out of Scope Items below are explicitly excluded from this engagement. They require separate scoping and resourcing.
Area Why It's Excluded / What to Expect
Customer Account Portal Subscribers cannot log in to view or manage their account through this website. Post-signup account management (billing, plan changes, usage) is handled by Gaia or a dedicated subscriber portal tool.
Billing Management Stripe customer portal, invoice history, plan upgrades/downgrades, and payment method management are not included. These require Stripe Billing configuration and a secure authenticated session — post-MVP scope.
Email Automation HubSpot workflow setup, email templates, drip sequences, and lead nurture automation are not configured as part of this build. Leads are passed to HubSpot; all automation is configured by the Link Broadband team inside HubSpot.
SEO Copywriting Page structure is SEO-ready (meta tags, structured headings, sitemap). No copywriting for blog posts, location landing pages, or link-building content is included. Content strategy and copy are the responsibility of Link Broadband or a separate content partner.
Mobile App Native iOS or Android applications are not part of this engagement. The website is fully responsive and mobile-optimized, but is a web property only.
Section 03

Architecture Options

Two viable paths, both capable of delivering the full MVP scope.

Option A

WordPress

Strengths

  • 🧩  Edit pages directly through CMS
  • 🧰  Quick feature additions via plugins
  • 📝  Fast blog and content publishing
  • 💲  Lower monthly commitment

Tradeoffs to Consider

Performance and stability depend on plugin choices and theme configuration.

Best For

Teams that want direct, day-to-day editing control.

Option B

Astro

Strengths

  • ⚡  Faster by design — lightweight and optimized
  • 🔗  Cleaner system integrations, no plugin layers
  • 📈  Scales with growth, no platform rework
  • 🤝  Ongoing support — dedicated team familiar with your codebase

Tradeoffs to Consider

Layout updates are managed through BetaCraft rather than freeform CMS editing.

Best For

Organizations prioritizing performance, scalability, and managed growth.

Section 04

Section 07

Ongoing Support & Governance

Two support models. One decision about how you want to scale.

WordPress Plan Astro Plan

Section 08

Our Recommendation

WordPress is a solid choice if your priority is keeping content control in-house and managing costs at launch. It's a familiar platform with a lower monthly commitment and straightforward editing for your team.

Astro makes sense if performance, system reliability, and growth are the priority. The Gaia, Stripe, and HubSpot connections run cleaner, the site is faster by default, and the admin panel gives your team real-time operational control without needing a developer on call.

Both options deliver the full MVP scope at the same build cost. The decision comes down to how you want to operate the site after launch.
